What you get
A new metal-clad consumer unit with surge protection (SPD) and individual RCBOs on every circuit, full circuit testing, an Electrical Installation Certificate and Building Control notification under Part P.
Why upgrade
Old plastic boards and re-wireable fuses don't meet today's standards. A modern unit gives you faster fault detection, individual circuit protection (so one tripped socket doesn't kill your whole house) and the headroom to add an EV charger or solar later.
How long it takes
Most domestic upgrades are completed in a single working day. We'll arrange a brief power-off, fit the new board, fully test and re-energise — you'll have power back the same evening.
